If in case your flight is delayed, diverted, or canceled, the airline is solely responsible to notify you well in advance. If your flight foresees such situations, after coming to the airline’s notice, the airline will notify you within 30 minutes with the most correct and accurate information. This information will only be provided by the airline if the flight is bound to depart within 7 days. 

So the airline will be liable for- 

  • Informing you of the active flight status changes via SMS if your phone number is mentioned during the booking. 
  • The airline will also inform the concerned gate agents, flight crew, and other concerned personnel about the delay, cancellations,s or diversions.
  • The information about the delay, cancellation, or diversion will also be displayed at the airport gates and Kiosks during the time when the same flight information is being displayed. 
  • The information will also be updated in the telephone reservation system, as well as in the online “Timetable” and “Flight Status” functionalities on the official website.

  • Enter the ticket number (13-digit) for each passenger affected by the irregularity.
  • Provide the first name, last name, Miles & More number (optional), address, and email address for each passenger.
  • Indicate how you reached your destination, whether it was with the originally booked flight, a rebooked flight, other means of transport, or if your journey was discontinued.

Restrictions on Rebooking

While Swiss Airlines allows customers to change their bookings through the “Change My Booking” functionality on their website, there are specific restrictions to consider. Rebooking online is possible for tickets starting with the ticket number “724” (SWISS ticket no./plate) that were not paid for by barter or voucher. However, certain bookings, such as those with other airlines, reservations without an issued ticket, group bookings, and more, cannot be rebooked online.
